Internet service provider extends FTTP services to cover UK businesses
Leicester’s broadband internet service provider (ISP) Gigabit Networks recently announced its full fibre ethernet and FTTP services can now reach close to one million businesses throughout the UK.
This comes due to the ISPs expanded availability over several alternative networks. Gigabit Networks states that its platform is now able to help businesses and homes covered by FullFibre Limited (also referred to as Digital Infrastructure), CityFibre, BTWholesale (also known as Openreach), ITS Technology, Freedom Fibre, MS3, Telcom and Vodafone.
A spokesperson for this ISP commented that the company is ambitious, and has set its sights on being the nation’s premier alternative network connectivity aggregator for enterprises.
The statement suggests that it will be adding further alternative networks to its growing platform within the near future. However, operating as a multi-network aggregator is a complex endeavour, and can sometimes make an ISP’s product offerings and options confusing to end-users.
The Head of Channel Sales and New Business at Gigabit Networks, Tim Loveday, commented:
“Reaching the one million on-net milestone is amazing, and I think it really shows the drive of the Gigabit Networks team and community of partners we have bringing full fibre to businesses across the UK.”
He added he believed that ultra-fast gigabit connectivity was the future, and that Gigabit Networks is focused now on leading the move towards faster broadband. Commenting on the millions of businesses that the ISP is now covering, Loveday stated that it was only the beginning, and that 2024 would be fantastic for the firm.
