Prominent UK broadband provider to use Kraken platform
British internet service supplier TalkTalk recently became the first leading broadband company in the UK to sign up to employ Kraken, a tech platform based in the cloud.
According to a spokesperson from TalkTalk, the adoption of the Octopus Energy Group-owned solution is part of its continuing pursuit to be the most sought-after broadband provider in the nation.
Commenting on the recent development, TalkTalk’s CEO, Susie Buckridge, said that to achieve its aim of becoming a leading choice for Wi-Fi service in Britain, the company was set on substantial transformation. She added that the innovative design of Kraken was central to reaching TalkTalk’s end goal, as it facilitates outstanding customer service.
A type of management platform, Kraken was designed to drive cost efficiency. It uses the cloud and machine learning to support utility companies in the way they run day-to-day business operations and connect with their customer base. At present, the state-of-the-art system is contracted to support more than 60 million customers around the world. This includes most of the leading UK utility companies like Octopus Energy, Severn Trent and EDF Energy, among others.
The recent partnership between Kraken and TalkTalk will see customers of the UK company being moved from multiple internal legacy platforms to the new operating system. Describing the platform, Kraken developers stated that it supplies a universal model that simplifies every customer service aspect, for colleagues and customers alike. It streamlines account operations into one platform to empower staff to fix any type of issue.
